FIT 4 LIVING

About Fit 4 Living

I founded Fit 4 Living with a clear mission: to empower individuals to take control of their health—beyond the limits often imposed by traditional healthcare models and insurance constraints. My goal is not just to treat illness, but to help prevent it through proactive, personalized care focused on whole-body wellness.

As a two-time cancer survivor, I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative exercise and healthy habits can be. Since my diagnosis, lifestyle changes have made a profound difference in my health and outlook. I often think, “I wish I had known then what I know now.” That reflection continues to fuel my passion for helping others live stronger, healthier lives—before illness begins.

My Background

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University and went on to complete my Master’s in Physical Therapy at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Over the past 28 years, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings including outpatient orthopedics, home health, and a pain management clinic. I remain dedicated to lifelong learning and delivering evidence-based care that adapts to each client’s unique goals and challenges.

My Specialties

  • Osteoporosis/Osteopenia-I am a certified Osteoporosis Exercise Expert through the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. A diagnosis of osteoporosis doesn’t mean slowing down—it means working smarter. I help clients navigate bone health with safe, effective exercises and education that support strength, balance, and resilience.

  • Middle and Older adults-Strength, balance, and conditioning exercises are essential for healthy aging. Strength training helps maintain muscle mass, joint stability, and bone density. Balance exercises reduce the risk of falls and improve confidence with movement. Cardiovascular conditioning supports heart health, endurance, and energy levels for daily activities. Together, these elements promote independence, prevent injury, and enhance overall quality of life. At Fit 4 Living, we tailor programs to meet the unique needs of each older adult, focusing on safe, functional, and effective movement.

  • Runners-Another passion of mine is working with runners. Coming from a family of runners, I understand the unique demands of the sport. I offer running gait analysis and therapy to help runners prevent injury, recover efficiently, and improve performance.

Whether you're looking to maintain your independence, build strength, recover from injury, or improve overall well-being, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

My Commitment to You

At Fit 4 Living, I provide customized, one-on-one care that puts you first—meeting you at your home, gym, or our private studio. I’m committed to helping you take an active role in your recovery and lifelong wellness. With a foundation in evidence-based practice, my goal is to help you thrive, not just survive.
